If you are aged 12-17 and are looking for something fun, social, and a little competitive this summer? Join our brand-new Junior 2v2 Golf League at Southside Golf Course and make your Sundays the highlight of your week! Grab a friend or sign up solo and we’ll pair you with a teammate for the full 10-week season. Get ready for exciting 9-hole matches where every point counts. Each match will have one point available going to the winning team and half a point for each team if it ends in a tie. The handicap-based scoring ensures players of all skill levels have a real chance to compete, improve, and have a blast doing it.
With this league we strive to be all about, friendly competition, inclusivity, and making memories on the course. You’ll meet new people, enjoy weekly matches, and build chemistry with your partner as you push toward the playoffs. The season wraps up with a thrilling bracket-style playoff, where the stakes get even higher as winners in each division will take home a FREE junior membership for the 2027 season here at Southside! Schedule:
The league will begin on Sunday May 31 with tee times beginning @ 5pm. Your tee time will be sent to you each week. The league will be 10 scheduled rounds over 12 weeks. June 28 and August 2nd will not have scheduled matches and can be used for any missed/ make up games ( if opponents of missed matches agree). After the Round Robyn season, teams will be facing off in a 4-round playoff. The top 16 teams will face off in the "A" side playoff and the 16-32 placed teams will face off in the "B" side playoff. Teams that did not qualify for the a or b playoff will play in a "C" side play off. Play offs will begin August 23rd and championship matches will be played on September 13.

The cost per person will be $250 and that includes 10 scheduled rounds of golf , admin fees and playoff green fees.

Format:
- 2 vs 2 - Best ball - Matchplay
- With the handicap system in play, no matter your skill level, anyone has the chance to win!
- Every player will get strokes based off of your handicap or average 9-hole score. If your average score is +15 you will receive 15 strokes to be subtracted on your scorecard. Handicaps will be updated weekly and be based on in league scoring only. Outside league rounds will not be used to calculate your league handicap.
- If you have an 18-hole handicap, divide by two to get your 9-hole handicap.
- Scorecards will be premade for every group with tallies to show where strokes are allotted.
- Scorecards will be handed in at the end of each match to ensure fairness and no mistakes.
-each team will be allowed to register with 1 substitute player to fill in for a player if they are unable to attend a match
- if both players from a team cannot attend a match, they must alert the opposing team to request a make-up time during the June 28 or august 2nd make up days. If that does not work out, the match will be forfeited and the opposing team will secure the single victory point.
- you can play with just one player of the team if the other team mates cannot make it ( however it will be 2 opponents vs the 1 player)
-If you are signing up as a team only 1 registration form is needed with both players' names ( plus an alternate/substitute included). Payment link will be sent to both players on the registration form so they can pay individually.
