Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Southside Golf Course
The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Manitoba and around the world has raised concerns for everyone in these trying times. Southside Golf Course values the well-being of our customers and staff. We want you to know that your health & safety will remain our top priority as this situation continues to evolve.
Southside Golf Course is following the lead of public health authorities and doing our part to limit the spread of the virus. We will strictly adhere to guidelines established by local, provincial and federal governments.
Driving Range
Operations

All visitors will be directed to our Pro Shop (One person at a time)
Safety Precautions

Range balls will be properly sanitized per use.

Stations will be positioned to adhere to the current social distancing recommendations.

If all stations are full. Please wait behind the rope 6 feet apart.

All other amenities will be removed from the range

No club rentals will be available at this time

Tap payment is available at the Pro Shop
Golfer Requirements
-
If you have a cough, fever or have been in contact with someone who is not feeling well, do not come to our facility; we do not want you to spread the infection.

Practice social distancing (~ 6 feet apart) In the parking lot and on the range.

Please follow sanitizing guidelines on all golf course washrooms.
Employee Requirements

Employees on site will be kept to a minimum and have been directed to increase the frequency and duration of hand washing.

We will require our employees to stay home if they feel unwell or if they have been in contact with anyone that is exhibiting flu-like symptoms.

We will have appropriate signage outside the building and on the range briefly outlining the social distancing guidelines in place.

We will provide clear professional signage informing our customers of operational changes and encourage recommended sanitation practices.
Golf Course
Operations

Online and over the phone bookings will only be made two weeks in advance as the current climate continues to change.

Please pre-book your tee-time online or call the Proshop. We will not be accepting walk-ups. Always call before arrival. 204-254-6709

All green-fee transactions will be pre-paid online, by phone or by card only. No cash transactions.

Please proceed to Pro Shop for payment. We are allowing one person in at a time.
Safety Precautions

We are eliminating club rentals.
-
When we introduce rentals all golf carts and pull carts will be washed and disinfected before and after each use.

We will remove bulk scorecard, pencil, and tee holders from all areas. We will only issue when requested.

We will remove ball washers, bunker rakes and benches on the course.

We are asking players to leave the pin in the cup at all times. We will have a set-up in place where there is no need to reach in the cup for any balls.

We will be removing all flags on the practice greens and instituting a “bring your own practice balls policy.”
Golfer Requirements

We will have disinfectant stations throughout the golf course, however, please bring your own golf towels and hand disinfectant as an extra precaution.

Flagsticks to remain in the hole at all times.

Refrain from picking up balls that aren’t yours for your own protection.

If you are riding in a golf cart, ensure that your cellphone and personal property remain in your golf bag as much as possible – away from high-contact areas of the cart.

No outside alcohol allowed on the premise. Beverages will be made available on request
